In a country where jokes will land you in prison, Indian comedian Daniel Fernandes has emerged as one of the funniest and sharpest critics of all things sacred. He is one of the country’s few breakout acts to tour globally, featuring on Comedy Central and ABC’s Comedy Up Late. ‘Infernal’ turns the lasers on internet outrage, influencer culture, and the joke that may get him killed.

With a comedy career spanning 10 years, Daniel has performed at International comedy festivals in the Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. He headlined ‘Comedy Zone Asia’ at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2016 where he also performed his solo show ‘Daniel Fernandes – Unoffended’’. In 2017, he returned to the MICF to feature in the first ever Indian comedy showcase at the festival and was the first Indian comic to feature in the MICF Roadshows in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.

In April 2019, Daniel set a record for India’s longest unscripted live stand-up performance of 6 hours at his improvised stand-up show, Talk to Me – Iron Man. Later that year, he released his first comedy special, Shadows which received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. After taking the show across India, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and London, it was taped in Mumbai and was released on his YouTube channel in 2019 on a pay-as-you-like revenue model which was an industry first. His self-titled YouTube channel currently at over 22 million views has been a huge hit with fans in India and abroad particularly for his bold material.
